The iridescent, purple-and-green foliage of the Strobilanthes (commonly known as Persian Shield) makes it a striking addition to any indoor space. With the right care, this eye-catching plant will bring vibrant color and texture to your home.
Light: Strobilanthes prefers bright, indirect light to maintain its vivid leaf coloration. Too much direct sun can scorch its leaves, while low light may dull its colors. A spot near an east- or north-facing window is ideal.
Water: Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry, and reduce watering slightly in the cooler months. It appreciates a bit of humidity, so misting or a nearby tray of water can help keep it happy, especially in drier homes.
